Pennsylvania Railroad Liberty pattern 11″ X 7 3/4″ Platter
The “Liberty” pattern was thought to be used on the Pennsylvania Railroad’s subsidiary lines (such as the Pittsburgh, Ft. Wayne and Chicago) from 1909 through 1923. This platter was produced by Syracuse China and furnished to the PRR by Wright, Tyndale & Van Roden. Backstamped “Made for Penna. R.R. Co.”. Based on the manufacturer’s logo this piece was made around 1915. This piece has age spots and manufacturing dimples, but no chips or cracks – Very Good for its age and rarity.
