Missouri Pacific Railroad “State Capitals” 10 ½” Service Plate
The “State Capitals” pattern was used on the Missouri Pacific Railroad from the late 1940’s through the early 1950’s. This service plate was produced by Syracuse China. This plate featured the images of the capitals of the states served by the Missouri Pacific and replaced an earlier version that had a steam locomotive and the state flowers. This service plate is a lot rarer than the previous “flower” version. It measures 10 ½” across, it is in near mint condition, and is does not have any chips, cracks or hairlines. On the back it has “Syracuse China” and “Designed Expressly for the Missouri Pacific Lines” in Pink and Blue.
