Lackawanna Railroad 54 oz Silver Water Pitcher

Lackawanna Railroad 54 oz. Silver Water Pitcher

Starting in the late 1940’s the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western bought new china, flatware and silver serving pieces to stock the new Budd dining cars for the Phoebe Snow. The signature piece of the order were the 54 oz. water pitchers ordered from International Silver. One was placed on every table in the diner. The one being offered here was made in 1947, the year the DL&W started to order supplies for the new equipment.. This piece is in very good condition with normal dings from use in the dining car.
