Enjoy Pancakes just like the Erie Railroad used to make them
on their dining cars.
Did you know that the dining car industry invented pancake mix? Prior to this time saving concept everyone had to make them from scratch. The Erie Railroad provided passenger service from New York City (actually from Jersey City, NJ after a ferry ride across the Hudson River) to Chicago. Its dining car department promoted the food products produced from along its route, especially in Ohio and Indiana. This pancake mix is produced in Ohio, just like the mix used in the Erie’s dining cars.
Our 16 oz mix is enough for about eight 4” pancakes.
