Pennsylvania Railroad Purple Laurel pattern 10" Plate

The "Purple Laurel" pattern was used on the Pennsylvania Railroad from the 1930's through the early 1950's.  This platter was produced by Scammell's Lamberton and furnished to the PRR by John Wanamaker.  Based on the manufacturer's logo this piece was made around 1940. This piece is in excellent condition - there are some manufacturer's "pimples" and the backstamp is not sharp.
